H A P P Y BIRTHDAY J A C O B!

Today is my baby's birthday--whopping 12 years old. These 12 years have been VERY BUSY. This child is on the GO-GO-GO nonstop! Today, we will celebrate and GIVE THANKS to GOD above for this child he has entrusted us with.

Monday..Monday

Well.....Joe and I are on our vacation...at home.

We entertained the thought of packing up and heading out...BUT...we've GOT WAY TOO much stuff to do around here. Over the last year or so, we've both been working a lot...so needless to say..our home is in much need of organization and cleaning....I'm talking the deep cleaning....closets, drawers, pantries...and of course the laundry room. Also, with two teenage boy's...we tackled their room!..Oh my goodness....well..that's a nice term..but I'm sure you get the picture.

So, what better way to start off our Monday...than a day at Hurricane Harbor!
The water was awesome! It felt soo good to be submerged in water at the hottest part of Summer.







While we were in the area, we decided to stop by and see the latest in the NEW COWBOY stadium. It's gonna be a doozy!


Just a picture , I took, before we headed home. I think I caught Jacob with an oreo in his mouth.





I started making my list..you know.."The Things to Do list"....and then I started to get overwhelmed. So, off I go--reading your blogs....nourishing my soul.

Prayer...A way of Life for me

I've been doing a lot of this as I grow with MY Lord & Savior. I also believe the family that prays together--stays together. Not only having my own testimonies of this, I've read many of yours--and it's simply precious. The other day, I read a short devotional about "Fervent Prayer".

"The more honest we are in prayer, the more we resemble Christ" "Who in the days of HIS flesh, HE had offered up prayers and supplications with strong cries and tears" Hebrews 5:7

How do you pray?

bursting out your thanks-
screaming cries for help-
getting on your knees and desperately seeking HIM-
silently-
hurriedly-
by your self-
with someone-
with your family-


We all have different ways and locations of praying---I believe as long as we have a relationship with our Lord & Savior, HE really doesn't mind how or where we come to HIM. I believe prayer is a three-fold---asking and thanking and then....LISTENING.



Listening..Listening..Listening....why is this hardest part for me? Waiting for HIS response. Although, I am getting better, today, this is still my prayer to HIM.

Hoping everyone had a great 4th!

We were mostly outside, playing basketball, having races, and shooting off fireworks.
The 4th is always a fun holiday for us.

I always take so many pics, but not too many come out the way I want them to. (I'm in the market for a new camera..if you have any suggestions, let me know :)
