Things we have in our home....

Thought I would share a few things that we have in our home that remind us of HIS love.

(looking for the word "HOPE")

I'll share more at a later time. (blogger is taking forever to download pics)

hope you are having a great and restful weekend~~

**update** The dog we found...well....we found the owner, who just rescued a chocolate lab and who was unable to take "Cody" back. The owner cried & cried, just knowing something bad had happen to her dog she had for 2 years. She is unable to take the dog back as "Cody" appeared very vicious to her new dog. So, we agreed to take him in....just happy that we know where he came from and that he has a name.

This dog cracks me up

I walked in my bedroom to start my morning ritual..making the bed...opening the blinds..you know...all that good stuff and look what I found.

Yes, those are his little legs sticking out of the blanket. This is what I found when I pulled the blanket back.

This little one has had no problem in making himself at home. It looks as thou he is gonna be a part of this family for good now. I'm sure someome is missing him~~~but we just cannot find his home.

Hope you all have a great week~!

TGIF

Thankfully, we've almost made it to the weekend. Lord, just get us through this day. We've still got the little dog. No name, however, we have started calling him "lil bit", which actually suits him just fine. Let me tell ya, this dog does nothing but sleep n sleep n sleep.

Josh had a football game the other night. He played great, although they didn't win. He enjoy's this sport so much and takes it so seriously. (I need to learn to take better pictures---I was too in the game and not taking enough pics)

Ok, that's it for now. Hope you all have a great weekend! Go Cowboys!

Giving HIM all my wants & needs for today

I hope your Sunday is going great! It's one of those days for me, doing laundry, cleaning, preparing for the week. Nothing fun, but something I have to do. Thinking of a lot of things that would make my life easier, but truthfully knowing that I've got all I need.

Help....we need a name

Look what the boys' found last night in our garage. Ugh--another dog. He's got to be some one's pet, he's house-trained and healthy as a horse. We walked & walked around the neighborhood trying to find it's home. No luck. He's got a collar but no tags. Thankfully, he gets a long with our other dog, Oscar. As Joe said, Oscar is a man's dog, this dog is a yappy dog. Although, he hasn't been that bad, he loves to sit in your lap. We're not used to a lap dog around here. So, we've put word out that we have a dog if anyone would be interested. But so far, no one has come by or called. The kids keep asking if we are going to keep him. Hmmmmmm, I guess. So, now we need a name. We've discussed: Chester, Ernie, Rocky, Rambo, Twix, Brownie and now Jaggers. Got any suggestions?

Oscar is trying to figure out what is in the chair? He's still not sure why we have another 4-legged animal in our home.

Come on and play with me. Why do you always like sleeping in the chair? That is all you do.

And one more thing, if your gonna be a part of this family.....get used to that thing she takes pictures with...see here she goes....get over here next to me and smile.

Random thoughts & thinking about tomorrow..

After all of the hype about Josh's first game, guess what?? It basically was rained out. Plus the coach didn't want to put Josh out there just quite yet with an injured arm...oh my goodness...you'd thought he'd told Josh that he could never play. He was so hurt--but he got over it and is now looking forward to next week.

We are watching the weather just wondering if IKE is gonna head this way. Waiting..waiting...waiting and more waiting.

Not a lot going on, just working a lot of hours and trying to keep up with homework, studying for tests, and preparing for upcoming projects. UUGH! This time of year just seems to fly by because we are all so busy...and actually this is my favorite time of year because of the fall weather and the rich fall colors.

Ok, posting a few random pictures tonight, just thinking. Just spending a little time, listening to my music and just thanking GOD for all that he has given unto me. It's quiet around here now...children are sleeping, husband is sleeping, and my beloved mutt, Oscar is under my feet, waiting for me to wrap this up.

My new little cubbies---can you see who's in there?

One more thing before I go....does anyone else seem a little blue lately? In the last couple of years around this time, I get sad....tomorrow is....

We are ready

Josh's arm is MUCH better and we've ditched the sling. Although, it's still tender, he's a warrior and he's ready to hit the field. It's amazing how rough football is for these kids and how much emphasis the coaches put on the kiddo's. Back in the days from pee-wee football, where every kiddo got to play...it's totally different when they start playing for the school. Basically, there can be a roster of 50 kids and only 20 or so will end playing for the year. I had to get this lesson from Joe. It's sad to see these kids on the sideline just itching to get on that field and such passion in their heart, and never get a minute of play time. UGH---just breaks my heart. The first game is Tuesday, I will post some pics of the first game soon.

Off to the ER....

It's that time of year....when I say bone-crackin football...well..that is what I mean. About to call it a day---and the school nurse is calling me. Hmmm...in a panic I answer..it's never a good feeling when your child's school pops up on the caller id for you cell phone...I answer and on the other end is a lady announcing herself as the school nurse....I'm thinking..wait a minute...it's 4:30..school was out at 3:50...hmmmm does this have to do with football by any chance? Indeed it does Mrs. Serna, Joshua was doing his tackling drills and injurned his arm, and it may even be broken. Broken you say??Hmmm Can you please ask him if it is the same arm he broke last year...sure hold on....uh Mrs.Serna, it is. (about dropped my phone)...ok, I'm on my way. Dad takes him to the ER...and three hours later, his diagnosis is: (drum roll please) not sure about the medical terms...but he's got a bruised tendon and a deep tissue bruise. Doc suggested that we take him to a specialists to make sure the tendon is not ripped or torn. Thank goodness it's not broken. This poor kid has such a passion for football and won't even get to play in his first game. UUGH! BUT, he will continue to stay at practice until 6:00 at night and we will all still go to the games. ( no pics tonight...he was like mom..seriously....kill the pictures). I will spare him tonight...I guess.
