No topic

Too tired to really think...but wanted to drop in to say "hey". Not a whole lot going on here. We've all been sort of under the weather....we think maybe food poisoning from KFC. UUGGHH We've made a promise to try and not eat there again. With my crazy hours, it's hard for me to plan anything as far as cooking, plus I don't really enjoy it. Don't know why either--because we love to eat. The boy's have Taks all this week, so they are sort of grumpy. I'm looking forward to the weekend. Sleep late, I hope. Ok, gotta go finish the laundry. You notice that i'm pretty much always doing laundry. Yep....well it's true. There is ALWAYS laundry to do. Until next time....

I told Joe I want a tatoo of Yoda w/his lightsaber. Kind of cool..uh?

CCD, Catholic School

Today was Joe's last Sunday for CCD, for while anyway. He's been teaching CCD for fours years and every year he goes away with something new. This year he taught Confirmation, which were all 8th graders, except one, she is 18. It's amazing how these kiddos look up to Joe and ask lots of questions about religion, which I'm amazed he knows a lot about. The director of this program wants Joe to come back next year very badly. Parent's of these young children ask specifically for Joe, to be their child's teacher. This past year, these kids learned a lot. Prayers, Saints, Confession, and Confirmation. The Confirmation service will be May 5. This, too, is an important date for a childs milestone, if Catholic. The Catholic religion is a beautiful religion and our family is very proud to be Catholic. We hope our children keep their Catholic faith close to them in all the days of their life.

My Skater Boy

My son Jacob who is 11, loves to skateboard. He is all in it..Monday through Sunday. His dad took him to Zumies a couple of month's ago. This store is sooo cool! Anyway, he got to pick out a skateboard and have it customized...did I tell you this skateboard by the time it was done was $124.00??? I had to leave the store and get some fresh air and an Aunt Annie pretzel. I stil can't get over the cost of this skareboard. Now you should see it! You wouldn't ever know if cost $124. Let me tell you...I'm learning the skater vocabulary. We took Jacob to a skareboard park with ramps--and well it wont' be long before he has the hang of those. he lives and breathes this skateboarding thing. Until next time.

Walmart? Are you kidding?

I wanted to share with you something sort of funny. This evening, Joe said he wanted to go to Wal-Mart to get a few things. So, we went. We started in the allergy medicine isle...and then while making our way to the cashier, I spotted some cute cargo shorts that I thought Josh would like. So we picked a few out and off we went. Backing up a minute, I told the the boys that I would take them summer shopping in the next couple of weeks. Of course we are talking, Abercrombie & Fitch, Old Navy, Zumies and American Eagle. You get the picture..right? Well, anyway...we get home and Joe tells Josh to come here....we pitch him the shorts and tell him to go try them on. What does he say???? Wal-Mart?!?! Are you kidding....I couldn't help but to laugh....It's finally here....Name Brand clothing...omgoodness! Two years ago, he could of cared less...NOW??? Please....it's the mall baby! Ok,gonna go get on the treadmill...just thought I would share with ya the funny.

What do you do when you have a Monday off?

I enjoy having Monday's off. I get to clean without having the kids in my way. I get to grocery shop on my time....if I want to spend 2 hours in the store..no one knows..lol. I also get to meet my baby for lunch.

I also get the piles of laundry done and then it's one of those days where I get to cook a meal instead of doing something quick or getting take-out. Although, I'm still not sure what were having. I get to catch up on my emails, phone calls...for those of you that know me....when my cell phone dies, it takes me a couple of days to get it charged...I have to find it first. Cell phones...one of those things where I could live without it..but yet..gotta have it. Go figure! I guess mostly for the boys. Will try and update later. Until next time.

Sunday afternoon

I hope your day was a great one. Ours was! It was a gorgeous day here so we decided we would go on a picnic with the boys. Well, sort of. We went to Jakes's...and at there..it was sort of like a picnic...we sat outside at a picnic table...lol

then we decided to go see our our little Carissa. She's getting sooo big!

This little girl gets a lotta lovin..that's for sure! She look so stinkin cute in pink. Ok..gotta start laundry now....I've only got about 5 loads..uugh! Have a great Monday!

I'm blogging early today because we have a lot on our agenda..and I know come 8 or 9 tonight, I will be out of it. I'm feeling sick again, coughing, sneezing--all the good stuff. And Joe wants to know if I want to go walking---sure baby--anything for you. HA! The painting is done and it looks wonderful! Now if I can just get Jacob out of the recliner and Josh off of his game system, and outside, I will go around and get the few little spots that were missed. I was so excited when I left work Thursday, knowing I was headed into a 4 day-weekend. Boy--did it go fast! Tomorrow I have all day to myself....what to do..what to do? Ok, this blogging thing does have a purpose...and I'm still trying to figure it out. For now, I just blab, but hopefully in the next few days, you will see the meaning of this. (I hope).

Ok, I gotta go get dressed and take my lazy butt to tan, then I guess go walk. Hope everyone has a Blessed Sunday! Remember, enjoy life to the fullest as tomorrow is never guaranteed! until next time....

Saturday

This is one of our busiest days of the week. Out & about and spending money...what else would we do on a Saturday? Josh & I went to Catholic Arts & Gifts, got lost, but finally found it. Bought some things for Joe's CCD class and a card...which leads me into my next subject....Josh has a friend, Elizabeth, who they've known each other since I belive kindergarten. Well, Elizabeth has a cousin who's three years old and has been diagnosed with a brain tumor has been told that he has a year to live. This breaks my heart as I've come to know a lot of little ones with cancer in the last several years. I ask that you please say a prayer for this little baby, I'm sorry, I don't know his name yet. But as a mother, I cannot imagine losing one of my own children and I'm sure that this parent never imagined it either.

I also went to Hobby Lobby, omgoodness..the hours I can spend in there. I didn't do too bad.....as far as money. They have such cute girlie girlie stuff....I found a bunch of stuff for Carissa. I can't wait until she gets a little bit older. Her aunt and uncle are waiting to take her to the zoo. I loved taking the kids to the zoo, that is until, I volunteered on a field trip...omg.....never again. LOL.

Joe and Mike are wrapping up the painting project...our bedroom and it's all done. Ok, I guess I better get outta've here...Jacob's hanging on my shoulder asking if he can get on the computer. Until next time....

A day of painting

Ok, not a lot of fun things to talk about tonight. Our day started with breakfast at one of our favorite "hole in the walls", then off to Home Depot to buy some last minute things.

Ok....so we start painting....our family friend Mike, who Joe has known forever, came over to help. (thank you from the bottom of my heart) Joe and I love each other so much, but damn we get on each other's nerves...bad! We can't spend too many days together. Anyway....I'm ready to go back to work....now. Plus, it doesn't help that Joe has quit smoking or at least toned it down. He's a grumpy ol man. So I went to Kroger to get some drinks and our favorite...Corona. Before I knew it, the kids were home and we were eating pizza. I'm so tired and don't want to see a paintbrush for a very long time. I've got three more days at home....and I plan to not do anything but lay around. I'll post some pics soon of the guys painting. I'm so proud of them as they did a really good job. Ok, I'm gonna go join the guys for a beer on the patio and find my way to bed. Until next time...

It's just me & Oscar

Ssshh...everyone is sound asleep. Well, I think--the boy's think that they can stay up until the wee hours just because they are not "sleepy". Never mind that they have to get up at 6:30 to get ready for school. Joe and I walk in their room at least 3 to 4 times every night, to remind them it's now time to turn the TV off. So as I look around, Joe is in the recliner, watching Married With Children, sleeping and looking very comfortable and cozy. Oscar is chewing on his play toy..a very nerve wracking squeaky donut. I could be doing a million things..but instead I'm here..blabbing about nothing.

Tomorrow, Joe and I are painting....uugh..did I say painting? We've got one more year here..then it's hopefully out of Garland and into Rowlett. Anyway, we went to the paint store earlier this week, purchased the paint and supplies. We're going with a dark kahki. Hmmmmm..Mike--thank you so much for coming over to help I'll cook you dinner....I'm thinking chicken fried steak....just what we all need...right?

Anyway....I gotta go finishing folding laundry.....what fun stuff. Until next time...

Be patient with me...I'm new here

After many month's of reading other blogs, I've decided it was time to branch out and launch my own blog. A place where I can express my emotions. So pull up a chair, sit with me for awile and lets share this journey we are on--called life.
