Goodbye 2008---Welcome 2009

I had my post all typed out and ready to hit the "publish" button and bam...lost it all. UGH! Ok, so this will be a shortened version..HA!

Hoping that you all had a wonderful Christmas. We did. After all the running around, last minute shopping, eating, eating and more eating, spending time with family and friends, it's time to prepare for a New Year.

I'm starting two bible studies in January. 1. At Jesus' feet and 2. Esther, which is about a woman from the Old Testament, I believe...still reading up on this one.

I've downloaded lots n lots of new songs on my Ipod and I'm ready to get back to walking and praising. I must admit that I haven't been spending time with my Lord & Savior like I should be. Although, I will say that I'm getting better at it.

Got a quick question before I attempt to hit the "publish" button again. I'm wanting to purchase a bible for myself, yes, I've got several, but I'm looking for one that is a women's devotional type bible. Might you be able to refer me to a good one?

One more thing.....I've been reading a lot of blogs lately that are asking for prayer. Please know that I'm praying for ALL of you.

Wishing you and your family a Happy & Prosperous New Year.

HIS unfailing love

One of my prayers lately has been....asking GOD to totally break my heart into a million pieces to make new..a new heart full of love and mercy....like HIM. I've needed a "cleansing" for the longest...a renewed heart, a renewed mind, and a renewed love. What does it feel like to be totally in love with HIM?

It's so amazing...HE is so amazing..he takes me how I am and for who I am. Although, I look in the mirror and see so many things I MUST change within my soul to feel HIS total love, I know that HE loves me. I realize that this journey I'm on is not going to be a short one, in fact it's going to be a life-long one. One that I will see so different than how I see now.

HE is just so amazing to me---that HE NEVER CHANGES but will ALWAYS ALLOW ME TO CHANGE.

Happy Monday..or at least I think so.

Boy! It is cold outside. We went from the mid 70's to the low 30's in less than 12 hours. You know, most people move the summer clothes out and bring the winter clothes in--right? Well, not if you live in the south. You gotta have a BIG closet here. Are you done with your Christmas shopping, yet? I'm almost done....just gotta wrap 'em up. I've been spending way too much time on the computer, reading blogs and just simply amazed at how HE is working in every ones' lives. If you have a moment, please stop by
You will be so blessed that you did, as HE is walking every step with this young lady.

I hope to catch up on some of my favorite blogs later today. I'm working weird hours today, to accommodate those that are out or on vacation. It seems this time of the year, a lot of people are out of the office. OK, 10 more days until Christmas. What do you have planned for Christmas Eve?

The Shack (part II)

Okay, I'm not going to ruin this if you haven't read The Shack yet, but I will say this much....this was a hard book for me to read at first. I would start off with a few chapters then put the book down, then pick it back up and read a few more then put it back down. I've done this for the last three days now. Well, guess what??? I finished the book and wow did I enjoy it. I found myself thinking a lot like Mack in some situations of my own, for example, the birth of my daughter and her adoption. I would recommend this book to everyone. Now, I'm going to start this one.
. You know, in the last year I may have read 3 books in all....and I think they've all been in the last couple of months. I think I've found a new love. If any of you have read this book, don't forget to leave me a comment and let me know what you thought.

These muffins must have been good.

Earlier today, I made some strawberry-banana muffins. Later, I stepped out to get a few things and came back to this.

I'm glad that my family enjoys my baking. I gotta get back to the laundry that awaits me and stares at me everytime I walk by the laundry room. UGH! Hope you all have a wonderful Monday. (Weatherman said we (Texas) might get some snow this week/weekend. WOW!

Your are MY ALL in ALL

The first day of the last month.

Enjoying my first cup of coffee and reading my favorite blogs and came across a new one. tysonaschliman.blogspot.com

What a journey this young father is on. If you have a moment, please stop by, your heart will just melt in the awe this father has for his son as they continue their journey here on earth, after his beloved was called home.

Also, if you have a moment, please stop by tammynischan.blogspot.com
Their son, Nick, was called home, after a strong..strong fight against cancer. Another family, I've just fell in love with. Her words are amazing and uplifting and has she endures her own pain of losing now two children, her courage will just take your breath away.

Hope you all have a great week!
