Thank goodness we made it...to Friday

Wow---this week has been busy and we're happy around here that it's Friday. I've been doing a lot of thinking and just spending a lot of quiet time with my Lord the last couple of days. I know he is trying to tell me something and so well..I've been trying to clear my thoughts so that I can focus on what he is trying to tell me. I know that I need to make some serious changes in my daily walk--and--I'm afraid that those changes and adjustments are going to be tough..however...these are changes that need to be made...and made now. I've been doing a lot of praying and reading scripture...and it's so amazing how GOD just puts the right scripture in front of your eyes to read. (thank you Jesus!) I ran across some pics the other night of the boy's first communion...look at my babies...would you.




Our faith is very important to us..and is saddens me oh so much that we tend to stray away from our faith and get caught up in Satin's path of destruction. I'm just amazed at how GOD will pick us up and dust the sand off of our feet and continue on with us. How so undeserving are we of this?? But that is how loving and caring our GOD is for us.

I'm so thankful for the gifts GOD has entrusted me with.

We're having too much fun in the sun!









As you can see, we like to spend a lot of time in the water. We are looking forward to our tubing trip in New Braunfels. You should see the number of bottles of lotions and oils we have....I counted this morning...14..bottles of Bull Frog, Hawaiin Tropic..Banana Boat...and a few others. Typically once summer arrives, we spend a lot of time outside. Especially in the water! Hope you guys are having a great Memorial Day Weekend!!!---we are! Until next time.

Hello..Hi there..How ya doing?

It's been a few days since I've checked in. It is Friday yet?? We've got a big weekend coming up....I love long weekends...especially being surrounded with the ones that you just dig! Ok, for those of ya keeping up with the American Idol...GO David....Archuletta. Although, I think David Cook is awesome too!! ok, so did I tell ya that my blog is getting a makeover... I've just gotta come up w/something that I like....how about frogs n ladybugs???? whatever..right?!? ok, I'll check back in after American Idol. Until next time---

No subject tonight

I'm in one of my funky moods....as we are watching the National Geographic special "Inside 911"...uuugghhh watching this just makes me sick! Brings all of the emotions all over again. This time, Josh is watching this with his dad, asking lots of questions. Just makes me realize how pure children are...but then again, when it happened, he was only in 1rst grade. It breaks my heart to have to explain to my children that yes, there are people in the world that are set out to destroy life...as fragile as it may be. I've had enough, so I decided to log on and catch up on my emails & blogs. I've got lots of pictures to share, but not today.

I went shopping today, got the kids some clothes and me a bottle of "Happy". Just one of those lazy days. We went to CI-CI's for dinner and then I had my nightly ice cream snack. We'll I better go prepare as I have a new class starting tomorrow. Until next time--

Joe finally decided he was gonna go short. ( I promise, I will post some pics tomorrow--too tired tonight) He looks fabulous!! Is it Friday yet???

Whoa....this week has been long..so it seems. Coming off of a 4-day weekend..I guess so uh? We've been busy around here that's for sure. The boys are looking forward to a long, hot summer. We've got lots of passes to buy to different things. Joe's birthday is coming up in a few weeks, so I've been asking him what he wants or wants to do. Of course, he said he wanted to have people over and to grill....no..no..no...that's what we do every weekend....so I came up with something that I think he will LOVE. Tubing down the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels!!! So, I've been online looking...and I think that is what we are gonna do...we are sort of nervous about taking the kids...BUT he wouldn't have it any other way!!

We are going to make it a weekend trip of it--I'm excited. Thanks for the ideas for Carissa's Baptism. We still haven't bought her anything. SO guess what we will be doing this weekend--yup..you guessed it--shopping! Woohoo...Can you believe Jacob wants some of those plaid shorts....omgoodness..plaid is back. UUUGH! I still haven't spent my Dillards gift card that I got for MD. I spent a whole whopping 2 hours looking the other day and walked out empty-handed. Joe couldn't belive it. I'm not a materialistic person...so spending $100 on a pair of shoes or $85 on a purse--well I just couldn't do. I don't like their clothes..not for women anyway....too old fashion looking....NOW their children's clothing is cute...for girls...but I don't have a girl. So, who knows maybe I will get some more perfume..boring! Ok, well gotta go---until next time---

Good morning

Just stopping in before I jet to work. Wanted to wish my mother a Happy Birthday today.....I'll post some pics up later this evening or tomorrow. I've got faith in the postal system that she will get her gift today. Hope you like it mom! Oh yeah, what do you get a 4 month old for Baptism? Now..let me finish before you start saying things like her first bible, a cross and all the other traditional things....we are talking about a little girl who has a lot of family(aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and godparents) So I'm sure she will get lots of the above items.......I went on Tiffany.com and didn't really find anything but silver spoons.



So, I was thinking baby jewelrey...but then again..is that safe???? SO, I'm needing some suggestions....by next week, please. Ok, gonna log off and wrap it up before I go to work. Still have a bed to make. Until next time--

happy mother's day

Hoping all of you mother's had a great day! I sure did! I got to sleep late, one of my favriote things to do :) We took the boys down to Deep Ellum to walk around with my camera in tote.

Morning? and I haven't even been asleep yet.

I'm sitting here eating Chee-toes catching up on all of my emails & blogs. Joe finally gave up on me and went to bed...well let's see it's only 2:31 AM to be exact. But guess what??? I've got the laundry done. I hope to do another posts later to include some recent pictures. (I love my boy's-they are just too silly!) Last night, I dropped Josh and a few of his friends at the movies, and when 10:00 rolled around, I was like, ok..I'm sure the movie has ended--and Joe agreed that we should call him. So, I did and was told "hey mom--the movie just ended"..so I said ok, I'm on my way...got there and sat there for at least 10 minutes before I called him again to find out where he was. Another 5 minutes or so, here come three boy's running to the car...however..in the opposite direction of the theater. I didn't say anything..not yet....until I dropped both of the boy's off. Then I heard all about Barnes & Nobles and how the security guard told them to head back to the theater as the mall had closed. Firewheel is an outside mall so the stores are all outside so to speak...so as he is telling me this..I'm thinking..oh my GOD....then Josh proceeds to tell me they went to Sonic and ate. I learn something new everyday...I'm learning that my kids are growing up before my eyes. Ok, I think I'm off to bed. Oh yeah, before I forget, we have some new pics of our sweet niece....isn't she just too stinkin cute?!?!

No Pics Tonight

Evening ya'll,

As our evening winds down, we are gonna watch "Death Sentence". Like I've said in my previous posts, we watch a lot of movies around here. This week has gone by pretty fast thus far, (doing the happy dance). Not sure what we're going to do this weekend. We need to go visit my parents. (sorry mom) I know, Royse City isn't far for crying out loud. I will post some pics soon of Joes's class from Monday evening. It was very spirtual, and I realized just how long we had been out of the church scene. I felt very guilty, but we made it. Wheeew! Joe and I both agree, that when we let certain people influence us, our decisions are not the best ones. I'm soooo very thankful we both agree on that! I'm hoping he teaches next year as well, as I feel that GOD has brought him to teach for more reasons than one. Plus, Joshua will be doing his Confirmation next year as well. It was a good expierence for him too. It's amazing how GOD is so GREAT when he is the core of your life. BUT, when he isn't, oh how your life can fall to pieces. We're moving on, and we hope that we are moving on to BIGGER & BETTER things. Until next time....

The LOVE of MY LIFE

I know...I know..we all know who the love of my life is. I don't have many pictures of "us" because ususally I am the one that's taking the pictures. I carry my camera everywhere with me....just ask my kids. Anyway..I'm looking forward to what you said Joe...just you & I.....Can't wait! I know that I can get on your nerves...and I know that we are totally opposite...BUT...I also know that I'm the LOVE of your LIFE! You are the one that makes me laugh, (although some of your jokes are pretty sick) You know exactly when I'm having a BAD day...and you know just the right things to say. I appreciate the protection from the looney people out in the world..and I'm so glad that you've finally opened those BIG BROWN eyes of yours to see exactly what I see. I'll see ya tonight---and I can't wait to have those BIG arms wrapped around me again!

One Missed Call

Most of you know that we like to watch movies around here...and get most of them through the Blockbuster online thing. Well, last night the boy's had some friends over and we watched "One Missed Call". It was good...or so I thought. But was even funnier (I know-no such word) was afterwards the kids trying to change their ringtone to the same one in the movie.

If you haven't seen the movie...go get it..it's good! Too early to talk about the day...we're just getting started around here. Looks like it's gonna be a pretty day. Hope all of you have a great week! (Yes, MYSPACE has been deleted).

Compatibility

Howdy y'all.....How's your week going? Ours not too bad. It's been a long week so it seems anyway. We are looking forward to the weekend. No one has to work...yippee! Well at least outside of the home that is. I've been kind of throwing our life out to the public since I've been blogging and Joe doesn't really care for it. See, we are kind of private folks..although you may have never guessed it. A friend of mine got me started blogging and well it's a way to correspond instead of always talking on the phone. I talk on the phone a lot during the day..everywhere and all types. BUT.....tonight I want to talk about loving your mate. I'm laughing as I'm typing this..but please take me serious.
I don't have any single friends, well wait a minute, yeah I do..Alicia...sorry girl for throwing you out there like that..but it's true. Most of my friends have been with their soul mate for quite some time...sort of like me. Compatibility, well all of you know that Joe and I have are totally different. Even when it comes to the same kind of BBQ sauce...we like different kinds...ha! I think it's important to stay in touch with your partner throughout the day..some of y'all are like..hell no...I see them enough at night..why would I want to talk to them during the day. Typically, Joe is the first home, then the boys and then me...even when I get off at 4:30...someone is usually here. I like to stay busy right up until lights out. Not my mate..I come in, it's feet up and TV on. I tell him that is how you grow old fast. On the weekends, I like to sleep late...watch Metal Mania and slowly start my day. Nope, not Joe, it's up by 7 or 8 & ready to go. Geez....he's killing me. I like to eat holding a conversation...not him...he likes to eat and get it over with. SO you see, we are different....BUT amazingly enough, we are in love with one another..and this my friends is how we continue with our relationship. Every now and then, he will throw a monkey wrench in the program..but I catch it every time. Until next time...
